Race Will Be Conducted Like a Time Trial
The Metrodome Inline Marathon will be conducted as a time trial.
Pace lines will be allowed with a limit of 5 per pace line.
Unique format: Skaters will be sent off individually to
skate their 70 laps in the dome. This is not a head to head
race, rather, a time trial where drafting is permitted.
As you skate you will have the opportunity to jump into new
pace lines that fit your speed. When a pace line has 5 skaters
in it it's considered "full".
How Skaters Will Count Their 70 Laps
Finish Line Sports will be using the AMB transponder system to
track your laps. You will be informed by PA system when you have
5 laps remaining. You will be responsible for counting your final 5 laps.
Start Times Will Vary
Group start times will vary, and within each group, each skater will start
at a set increment - for example, skaters may start 15 seconds apart.
Skaters will be placed into one of 5 start groups based on previous
or estimated marathon performance.
For example:
Group 1 - 08:00 am
