RSA is a trade organization for roller skating rink
operators and roller skating product manufacturers.
The organization was established in 1937 and their headquarters
is in Indianapolis, Indiana USA.
Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA)
SGMA is a trade organization for sporting goods manufacturers.
Their headquarters is in North Palm Beach Florida and they
have another office in Washington DC. They publish a magazine
called "Sports Edge Magazine" and they organize a sporting
goods exhibit in the United States every year
called "The Super Show".
International Inline Skating Association (IISA)
(shut down)
This organziation was founded in 1991 as a trade organization
for inline skate manufacturers, and they closed their doors in December of 2004.
At that time they gave up their office space,
layed off their staff, turned their instructor certification program
over to another company USA Fit. USA offers insurance to instructors,
but they are not offering certification. Instructor certification
and insurance are available from the United Skate Schools Group,
a professional organization for skating instructors.
When IISA shut down, they said the The National Skate Patrol would
continue as an independent entity.
