Cambodia Becomes Full Member of World Skate
Article published in December of 2021 on the "huunghivietnamcampuchia.thoidai.com.vn" Web site. FROM THE ARTICLE: Cambodia became a full member of the World Skate Federation for Skateboarding and Roller Sports at the World Skate's International Congress in Rome, Italy on November 27, 2021. It had previously been accepted as a reserve member on July 9, 2020. The congress also elected China as president and South Korea as World Skate's vice president representing Asia. As of the date this article was published, 8 of the 10 ASEAN countries had national skating federations, all of them except Laos and Brunei. 2019

Forty-four jJoin Kingdom’s First Skate marathon
Forty-four roller sports athletes and judges participated in a roller sports event in Cambodia that included a 10 kilometer race, a street skateboarding contest, a BMX freestyle bike event, and a freestyle scooter event. Of the 44 participants, 17 competed in the race, 12 competed in the skateboard contest, 12 competed in the BMX contest, and 3 competed in the scooter contest. Kosal Pisey, president of Cambodia Skateboard and Roller Sports Federation (CSRSF), said the participants came from Phnom Penh and five other provinces, including Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Pailin, Kep, and Kandal. First Ice Skating Rink Opens in Cambodia

Previous Cambodian rinks for ice skating had been made of "Magic Ice" which is a type of plastic.
