More About Caroline Morelli
Quad and inline figure skater Caroline Mirelli was born
in Chicago in 1930. She left Chicago at age 17 to
join the "Roller Skating Vanities" roller
skating show and she met her future husband Toni while
working for that show. Toni Mirelli was a speed skating
champion and show skater. Caroline and Toni
performed together until 1959, when they moved to
Tennesee to open the Skate Haven Roller Skating Rink
on Brooks Road in Memphis. Toni passed away in
1991, but their daughter Kelli, born in 1972, is a skater
and she continues the family tradition of skating
started by her parents.
