2005 World Inline Downhill Championships
The 6th annual Downhill Inline Skating World Championships will take
place in Lyon, France July 9-10, 2005. The committee organzing the event
is headed up by Benoit Gamba of France.

The Downhill Course

The downhill race track for the 2005 Downhill Inline Skating
World Championships has been approved
by some of the top downhill skaters in the world. It has
a 7.4% slope and is 1900 meters long, giving riders
2 full minutes of action. It is a complex route with
many speed and technical challenges.

Safety Measures
500 straw bunches
60 matresses
50 staff members on the 1900m of the slope
Obligation of wearing the protections
No spectators in the exterior corners
Area cleared in the axis of the braking area
3 rescue stations (2 fixed + 1 mobile)
Municipal polices presence
Fences between the track and the spectators
Benefits for Riders
Sunday's lunch offered + collation during the day
Inscription: 30 euro (the lowest of the 2005 season)
Accommodation: international camping close by, diffusion of a hotel list
Stadium cloakroom tendency (shower and toilettes)
Easy access from the outside (planes, trains, motorways) up to
the village start (lyonese public transport)
