Argentina Bids for 2003 Speed Worlds
After all the rumours that circulated around the world, finally Argentina has presented its official request to organise the 2003 World Championship, after FIRS and CIC cancelled the event in Suzhou, China because of virus SARS. Until the moment, Argentina is the only country that it has presented officially a candidacy, which will be evaluated by FIRS and CIC. New seat will be announced on May 31. The possible place would be Neuquén, located to 1200 km from Buenos Aires, the capital city. Remember also that Argentina will organise the 2003 Figure skating World Championship in Buenos Aires between November 8 and 23. (2003 Archive of PatinCarrera.com Article).
