3rd North African Hockey Championships (archive)
From 22 to 28 march 2001 the 3rd African roller hockey is played at Cairo - Egypt, three teams from Egypt compite to join at the finals next April 2001 at Cairo. There will be only two teams of 3 that will join the finals . First match was between El Zamalek Club and El Masry club and the result was El Masry(12) - El Zamalek(6). This is the first time El Masry beat El Zamalek team but they deserves to win as they played fantastic match aginest El zzamalek and lead the match from the start to the end. Today El Maddia team plays against El Zamalek team. Sameh El Said will follow with more resuls once avilable

At the 3rd North African Roller Hockey Championship officials call El Masry team the Black Horse as they still surprise all the crowed with the great results they had.
At the second match El Masry team played against El Maadi Team at El Seka Rink, drawing 3-3. With this result El Masry team secured their place at the finals to be held at Cairo, next April.
There is only one match left which is very important for all teams. The match between El Maadi and El Zamalek teams. This match will show who is the second team wich will participate at the finals besides El Masry team.

3) El Zamalek - El Maadi (to be played on March, 28th at Port said Rink)
Mr. Mohamed Abd El Mawlly, the president of the Egyptian Amateur Roller Skating Federation (EARSF) said: "we will stand behind and support the Teams who will be qualified to play at the Finals of the 3rd African roller hockey championship, and this will be the start to prepare to join at the next world championship group (B)."

Hockey Action in Egypt - Final Results (archive)
Today was the final match at the 3rd North African Roller Hockey Championship which has been held from March, 22-28th. Three Egyptian teams compited together to secure their place at the finals next April. El-Zamalek, El-Maadi and El-Masry teams played very strong matches between each others, this teams are the top teams in Egypt depending on the Official clasfication from the Egyptain Amateur Roller Skating Federation ( EARSF ).
The final results for this championship are:
El-Masry (12) : El-Zamalek ( 6 )

With this results the two teams which will join at the final Four African roller hockey championship next April are:
1) El-Maadi team with 3 points, scored 15 goal, had 4 goals.
2) El-Masry team with 3 points , scored 15 goal , had 9 goals.

The Egyptian Roller Skating Federation ( EARSF ) is planning to organize an international friendly championship here at Egypt. Within coming few months. They hope that some of good teams will show their interest to come and play roller hockey at Egypt. Mr. Mohamed Abd ElMawly the President of EARSF thinks to build a temporary Rink in front of the Ancent Egyptian Famous Pyramids & Sphinxs. Which the History of 7000 Years old civilization meets with the game of the future. We Expect to have Many comments from Different teams and coaches in order to go forward in planning this event.
