2006 was the 7th and last edition of the Tahiti Roller Marathon. That year event name was changed to "Tahiti Aito Inline Skate Challenge". In past years the event was held on either the island of Moorea or the island of Tahiti, but in 2006 there were events on three different islands: Moorea Island, Raiatea Island, and the tiny island of Tahaa. The events were scheduled to take place February 19 through February 22, 2006.
