Recreational Group Skates in Iceland
EVENT: 2002 Group Skate in Reykjavik
DATE: September 14, 2002
TYPE OF EVENT: Inline skating and quad roller skating event
ANNOUNCEMENT:
Skate through some of the loveliest areas of
Reykjavik in Iceland, Europe's northern-most capital city.
The skate will begin at the charming
Arbaejar Folk Museumat
2:00 pm on September 14, 2002.
The route will skate by the salmon-filled Ellidar River,
pass through the Fossvogur neighborhood and stop for a break at
Nautholsvik, a lovely coastal area with its own
special nature trails.
Then it is on to downtown Reykjavik with
a stop at the bustling Harbor.
The final stop is the famous geothermal swimming pool
in Laugardalur where
everyone can relax and spash around in the soothing
warm water. (Total
course time: about 2.5 hours). The event is free.
All you haveto do is show up at the start line.
