Myanmar Skaters to Display Skills at ASEAN Championships
Five artistic roller skaters in the Myanmar Skate Association will
participate in the 5th Inline Skating Championship
in Vung Tau City, Vietnam. Myanmar participated in this
event earlier, at the 3rd ASEAN Inline Skating Championship
in Malaysia. The article also includes general information

Myanmar Skate Body Boosts Profile
The Myanmar Skate Association that was established in 2013
is an amateur sports organization that has been seeking
to upgrade its status to that of a national federation
recognized by the Government of Myanmar.
Myanmar does not have any roller skating rinks, so
local skaters practice in a makeshift facility located
at the foot of the Hledan Bridge. Myanmar's skaters
have competed at international events including the
4th Roll Ball World Cup in Dhaka, Bangladesh February 17-23, 2017.
The association is planning to send freestyle slalom and marathon skaters to the
Suquain International Skating Open in China October 27-29, 2017
and aggressive inline skaters and skateboarders
to the Carnival Sendayan All-Extreme Sports Competition
in Malaysia November 11-12, 2017.
