Governing Body
Qatar Ice Hockey Federation
Also know as the Qatar Winter Sports Committee (QWSC).
Organization established in 2010 that
is recognized by the
International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF)
as the national governing body for
the sport of ice hockey in Qatar.
The Qatar federation became a
member of the IIHF on May 18, 2012.
According to the IIHF Web site,
Qatar has three indoor ice hockey rinks.

Qatar International Ice Hockey League (QIIHL)
Recreational and competitive ce hockey league established
in 2003 by a group of Canadian expats
with assistance from the Qatari branch
of Newfoundland's College of the North Atlantic.
The league has had as many as seven teams and 130 players.
