- Tommy played the organ
- roller rink opened with a tent in 1940
- moed to a new building later that year
- rink was destroyed by fire in September 1941 and was later rebuilt.
- The Faircloughs left the business in 1952
- They returned in 1962 and owned the rink until it closed in 1979.
