We will include a picture of the cake…. I donit know how to

Kathie:
Do you have any interesting stories to tell about the
wedding? Did everything happen as expected or were
there some surprises?
Theresa:
Before the wedding Gary and I were both had some stresses.
I had been dreaming for about 2 weeks before the wedding that I
would be late. In the Church were I got ready was downstairs…. so
at the wedding I was trying to get up the stairs and walk down the
isle before I was suppose to (people were still in the lobby).
Desly and Molly were holding me back by my train. One thing that
did calm me down was Mandy OiNeil brought me some twizzlers. ?
Gary
had another problem on his hands; all the boys were still sleeping
in their hotel room 1-˝ hours before they were to be at the Church.
The wedding was beautiful though; all the lights were dimmed and it
was by candlelight. Neither of us had any mess-ups and both of us
were on time.
Then on to the reception. Desly had lost her speech
that she stayed up writing the night before and also lost a speech
from one of our friends from Australia that couldnit make it to the
wedding. So she rushed to the front desk of the hotel and used their
email to get the speech from Mick (our friend) and just winged
her speech. But all went good - she got through it easily and it
was very good. Not to mention the Bestmanis speech - also very good.
We walked into the reception to the Chicago Bulls starting line up
music. Our dinner was your choice of Chicken Piccata, Chicken Kiev,
or Roast of Sirloin. Our first dance was to the song of Notting
Hill, "When you say nothing at all" by Ronan Keating. Then onto the
interactive partying, with group dancing, games, bouquet toss, garter
toss, anniversary dance, dollar dance, ect.
There is one funny story
about the dollar dance though. Remember the Maid of Honor and the
Bestman are from Australia and their wedding receptions are a little
different. They donit have the dollar dance so we tried to explain
what it was to them but obviously we didnit do it well enough.
So on to the dollar dance, we gave Desly the jar to collect for
the dollar dance!. then all of a sudden we lost her. We were
standing by the dance floor calling her name and then we found her -
with the jar - full of money already. She went around collectiong for
the dollar dance first. So we had a full jar before we even started
the dance. THANK YOU DESLY. ? A new tradition!
