The Maestro Roller Senegal association was created in 2004 by a group
of young people from Dakar who are passionate about rollerblading, with
the support of Madame Awa Nar Fall.
The association was recognized at one time as the governing body
for roller sports in Senegal. Its president was listed
on the World Skate Federation Web site as
Awa Fall and its secretary was listed as Oumar Diouf.

J-ROLLER: Roller Skating Day 2009
The kick-off of the activities of the 2009 roller skating day organized by the
Maestro Roller Senegal association was given this afternoon at the Senegalese
national Olympic swimming pool at Point E in Dakar. This first day was
devoted to demonstrations and exhibitions of slalom and jump roller.
The presence of all the roller skating associations identified in
Senegal was greeted by Mrs. Awa Nar Fall, president of the
Maestro Roller Senegal association. The J'Roller is the day of all
rollerbladers and constitutes a unifying event for the roller
skating movement in Senegal, she declared at the opening ceremony
chaired by the Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of
Youth, Sports and Recreation from Senegal. The French Double Dutch
Federation, guest of honor at the 2009 roller skating day, created
a surprise with the French double dutch champion team coming to
celebrate a twinning with the practitioners of the new double
dutch sport in Senegal. The jump in the fireball closed this
first stage of the roller skating day 2009 edition.
